GITpy is a free and open-source software developed in Python to apply the Generalized Inversion Technique (GIT) to a given dataset. The tool allows to derive a suite of region-specific spectral parameters (i.e. source, attenuation, and site parameters), through an inversion scheme to separate the different contributions and applying subsequent modeling tools. GITpy is the result of a collaborative project between scientists from the INGV (Milan, Italy), GFZ (German Research Centre for Geosciences, Germany), UNIGE (University of Genoa, Italy), OGS (National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics).
